Bridport Arts Centre & the Art of Spektrix

Following our successful integrated build for The Mercury Theatre, we were approached by Bridport Arts Centre in Dorset to build a new site utilising the same Spektrix ticketing system. We were pretty proud of how smoothly the last build went, so we were confident we would knock it out of the park once again.

Bridport Arts Centre, founded in 1973 on the site of the former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, has been wowing audiences for over 40 years. From theatre productions and musical performances, to art exhibitions and the international Bridport Prize competition, it has become a vital creative hive of activity for the area. The centre was awarded funds from Arts Council England to produce and build a brand-new website. That’s where we came in!

While similar in functionality to The Mercury, there were many differences, both visually and on a technical level. The support received from the public is paramount to Bridport Arts Centre. Through donations, memberships and legacy giving, we needed to emphasise the importance of support and investment by its patrons and the funding providers. Visually speaking, a strong sense of community and social activity was established through a considered use of colour systems, photography and art direction.

This is our second advanced Spektrix integration, and with more in the pipeline, we love seeing the results come together. Launched recently, the site is looking pretty sharp, be sure to check it out in action here!
