A Parliamentary Success

Today marks a pretty special moment in our history. It’s a day that’s taken a lot of planning, preparation and sheer hard work to reach. The launch of our most prestigious website to date for The Mercury Theatre, along with the synchronised launch of our own brand refresh and new website.

At 5pm today The Mercury Theatre in Colchester officially launched its Mercury Rising fundraising campaign, as well as its new website, at the House of Commons in London. This comes after a successful open day on Saturday, which saw hundreds of people visit the theatre as plans were unveiled for the £8.7m redevelopment of the building.

Although we were also heavily involved in the creative elements of the Mercury Rising campaign, the last eight weeks of blood, sweat and tears were on the website development project. We had a fairly tight turn-around to deliver the first phase of the site, which also involved third-party integrations and APIs. The site is a complex, responsive WordPress build, completely designed and coded in-house from the ground up.

With three large projects for the Mercury Theatre simultaneously underway, alongside various other active projects, the team have also undertaken an internal brand refresh and completed phase 1 of our own new website. Alex has managed the projects flawlessly, the design team have surpassed expectation, and the development team have pulled off what I can only describe as a miracle as both sites launched in harmony this afternoon.

I’m a firm believer that, in this industry, having a loyal, hard-working and committed team is essential, and I couldn’t be prouder of my team today. Well done and thank you Team Fever!
