The Christmas Questionnaire!

As a way to get everyone at This is Fever into the Christmas spirit, we gave the team a little Christmas questionnaire, asking them some hard-hitting questions (like ‘Is Die Hard a Christmas film?’). Here’s what we found out…

Sprouts or Not? The Great Christmas Dinner Debate

Let’s start with something simple – Brussels sprouts, yes or no? As it turns out, This is Fever aren’t big fans of sprouts with their Christmas dinners, with 60% of the team saying they’d rather not have them.

Real or Fake? The Battle of the Christmas Trees

Speaking of green things, it’s time to find out if the team prefer their Christmas trees real or fake. Most of the team love a real tree, except for Stanley, Hannah and Ben, who think that artificial is the way to go.

Deck the Halls… But When?

On the topic of Christmas decorations, we asked the team when they get their homes ready for the big day. The response was mostly that they get festive at the start of December, but there were a few exceptions, like Hannah – the only member of the team who fessed up to decorating at the last possible moment.

Best Host Award: Why Ben Takes the Christmas Crown

When asked who they thought the best Christmas host would be, the team’s answer was clear, with over half of them saying that it would be Ben. Sweet Victory: Jordi’s Reign as Treat King

Despite Ben’s incredible hosting abilities, he didn’t sneak the win on who brings the best holiday treats into the office. That crown goes to Jordi, with four votes (but he was closely followed by both Abi and Dan with two votes each).

Secret Santa Supreme: Hannah’s Gift-Giving Glory

From bringing in treats, to giving gifts, now we shift our focus to the person the team thinks would give the best Secret Santa present. For this one, Hannah reigns victorious, despite Abi saying that the best Christmas present she ever got was her Secret Santa present from Mark in 2022.

Throwback Favourites: The Team’s Best-Ever Christmas Gifts

Some of the other ‘best presents ever received’ included both the original PlayStation and the Nintendo DS, as well as things like Tamagotchis and big toy forts. There was even a mention of rally car driving lessons!

Pre-Playlist Offender vs. Office Grinch: The Christmas Showdown

Now for the ultimate showdown, the office Grinch, and the person most likely to start the Christmas playlist too early. With half of the votes, Abi was seen to be the primary perpetrator of pre-emptive playlisting. The title of ‘This is Fever’s Office Grinch’, however, goes to Mark (who agrees with this assessment so much that he even voted for himself).

Die Hard Debate Settled: Is It a Christmas Film?

Finally, the question you’ve all been waiting for… does the team at This is Fever think that Die Hard is a Christmas film? It was close, with an 60/40 split, but it turns out that Die Hard DOES count as a Christmas film (according to us).
